HEALTHY BODY. HEALTHY MIND. HEALTHY SOUL.

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Growing up, I remember being in the kitchen with my mom from a very early age. In fact, most of my childhood photos with my mom are in our kitchen baking some kind of goodie. As I moved away from home, entered college and began my integration into society as an adult, I began to fall into the trap of diet culture and the impossible body standards in our society. I pretty quickly developed an eating disorder, unbeknownst to most people around me because of the secrecy eating disorders are rooted in. My eating disorder led to most of my college years being overshadowed by clouds of isolation, poor body image, and malnourishment. By the grace of God, I was able to heal from the strongholds of this mental health disease and change the course of my life. I now find so much joy in new experiences that involve food and moving my body.

Because of my personal experience and story, it is my biggest honor to help other individuals find freedom from the chains of diet culture. I firmly believe that the key to a healthy lifestyle is a holistic approach to food and body that encourages individuals to connect to their body’s cues. I am passionate about the mind-body-spirit connection and desire to be an advocate for individuals seeking freedom with food and body.

my background

Originally from Memphis, I have lived in Nashville for almost nine years and still find myself exploring new areas. I graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor’s in Dietetics and went on to complete my dietetic internship there. I also received a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a concentration in sports nutrition from Texas Tech University. When I’m not working, I enjoy baking, traveling, reading, hiking, and finding the yummiest bakeries in town!

I currently provide nutrition-related therapy in-person and virtually through a private, secure network for adolescents (at least 12 years old) and adults of all ages.

I operate from an anti-diet approach and incorporate the following treatment methods: evidence-based, health at every size (HAES), weight-inclusive, intuitive eating, all foods fit, motivational interviewing.
